What to Expect After Completing an ACH Payment
Last updated: August 12, 2025
Overview:
When a customer completes a payment using ACH (US bank transfer) on FanBasis, there is a brief verification step required to finalize the transaction. Here's what to expect and how to guide your customer through the process:
What Happens After Checkout
1. Complete Checkout
Once your customer has selected ACH as the payment method and submitted their order, the checkout is in process. ACH payments typically take 3–5 business days to fully process.
2. Confirmation Emails Sent to the Customer
Your customer will immediately receive an email confirming that their payment is processing asking them to verify their bank account in order to complete the payment.
3. Micro-Deposit Sent for Verification
As part of the verification process, a $0.01 micro-deposit will be sent to the customer’s bank account from FANBASIS INC. This deposit usually arrives within 1–2 business days, but keep in mind that banks do not process transactions on weekends or holidays.
4. Verification Code in Bank Transaction
The $0.01 deposit will include a 6-digit verification code in the transaction description, starting with “SM”. Your customer will need to locate this code in their recent bank activity.
5. Enter the Code to Finalize Payment
The customer should return to the secure verification page (linked in the email they received after checkout) and enter the 6-digit code. This confirms their bank account and finalizes the ACH payment.
